01 - 1 lb Italian sausages, sliced into 1-inch pieces

02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 large red bell pepper, sliced into strips
04 - 1 large yellow bell pepper, sliced into strips
05 - 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
06 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

11 - 1 packed cup fresh basil leaves, torn

# How-to:
01 - Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
02 - Add sausage slices and cook, turning, until browned on all sides, approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, add red and yellow bell peppers and red onion. Sauté for 5 minutes until vegetables begin to soften.
04 - Stir in minced garlic and cherry tomatoes. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until tomatoes soften.
05 - Return sausage to the skillet. Add oregano, crushed red pepper flakes if using, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Toss to combine and cook for 5 minutes until heated through and flavors meld.
06 - Remove from heat and stir in torn fresh basil leaves just before serving.
07 - Serve hot, optionally topped with grated Parmesan cheese and accompanied by cooked rice, pasta, or crusty bread.
